Women of The Western Communities

Next WWC Meeting - January 8, 2026

 Hello Ladies!

The next meeting of the Women of the Western Communities will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 (don't show up on January 1st!), at Wellington National Golf Club. Doors open at 6:00 pm, so you can come early, check in, grab a beverage from the cash bar, choose your seat, and mingle as other members arrive. It's a great chance to catch up, or to meet a new friend! Don't forget our monthly raffle...cash please. Please arrive by 6:30 pm so we can begin on time.
Our January meeting has traditionally been a meeting about starting anew, whether that means new habits, new experiences, new hobbies, and this meeting will be no exception.

Our evening program will include a mini session of chair yoga with certified yoga instructor Dave (he's WWC President Teresa's yogi), and a meditation and mindfulness session with Sarah Palmer. Sarah is a past guest, who is currently working with veterans with her non-profit, Helping Heroes Thrive, where she offers immersive mental health wellness retreats.
Please wear comfortable (but cute!) clothing to our meeting, workout clothing and sneakers are welcome. If you are coming to the meeting from work, no stress! Just pack a bag of workout duds, and change in the ladies room, or the ladies locker room (use my name if anyone asks you). Our meal will be our annual big soup and salad bar, with all the fixings, so come hungry! Don't forget to look for, and remember your "WIN" over the holidays, so you can briefly share with us at the meeting.

Our monthly donation will be non-perishable food for the Tree of Life Resource Center. Please check the expiration dates, and only donate unopened packages. This is a great time to clean out your pantry of the food you never used during the holidays. Shelf stable milk, powdered milk, salt and pepper shakers, vegetable or olive oil, basic spices, and can openers are all very much welcomed and appreciated! We will also accept clothing donations for the TOLRC, so please bring them to the meeting. Please make sure your clothing donations are clean and in good repair. Hopefully, we will have so much donated that we will need volunteers for transporting the donations!

Respectfully,
Mair Armand

Next WWC Meeting -Thursday, March 13, 2025

Our speaker for this meeting is our fave,  Attorney and former Florida State Senator , Dave Aronberg.   Dave Aronberg is a Palm Beach County politician who served as state attorney of Palm Beach County, Florida from 2013 to 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served in the Florida Senate from 2002 to 2010 and as the Florida Attorney General’s “Drug Czar” in 2012.  After completing his time as State Attorney, Aronberg returns to his private firm, named Dave Aronberg Law, P.A., located in downtown West Palm Beach, a short walk from the courthouse where he led a team of 115 prosecutors for more than a decade. Seen often on cable television, Aronberg said he plans to make time for more television appearances, too.

Please remember our monthly donation for Meals on Wheels senior clients is personal care items like (smaller sized) shampoo, conditioner, shower/bath wash, hand or body lotions, mouthwash, lip balms, and eyeglass cleaner wipes.

Also, please bring your silent auction donations for our fundraiser event on April 19th (hope you are bringing your friends!). Your donations must be new items, or items that can be used in a themed basket. Gift cards from local stores, restaurants, and services are very welcome!
