The Women of the Western Communities will award a one-time scholarship(s), to qualified high school senior applicants selected by the Scholarship Committee.
Qualified applicants must receive the paperwork necessary from their high school guidance counselors.
The applicant must be a permanent resident of the Western Communities.
The applicant must be attending an accredited High School within Palm Beach County.
The scholarship shall be used at an accredited institution of higher learning.
The following information will be considered in determining the Scholarship recipient(s):
a. Personal Data.
b. Extracurricular Activities.
c. Community Service Hours (75 hour minimum)
d. Scholastic Standing – Minimum 3.0 un-weighted GPA is required.
Each applicant must submit an essay, to be determined by the Scholarship Committee.
Scholarship winners will be notified by the middle of May and, scholarships will be awarded in June, at a dinner meeting. The winner(s) or his/her representative is required to attend.
